Today, I thank God for giving me the courage to leave my ex-husband and to start a new life with my kids…how lucky i am to live where I do and to have my little Kati. If I had never left, I wouldn’t have all the things I have today. Especially, my self esteem.
Dec. 1, 2008 Today I thank God that my daughters are both asleep beside me in the bed.
Dec. 2, Today I thank God for memories of wonderful Christmases with my family. I remember sleeping on a pallet on the floor next to the wood stove at Granny and Granddaddy’s house…daddy would get up in the middle of the night to put wood on the fire-it was the only heat in the house beside the oven. The next day we would all go in the kitchen and huddle around the oven while granny and mom cooked breakfast. We often wore our coats in the house in the wintertime.
Today I thank God that I made it to 37 years old—yesterday was my birthday.
I also thank God that I haven’t been too stressed out lately. Savannah has been great!!! So, unfortunately, that means I haven’t been writing much. More to come soon.
